I’ve come to realize and welcome that the journey can often be more interesting than the destination. Not that I wish to compromise ideals, or goals, but our paths are all filled with surprises and opportunities that add richness and depth, not just to our individual lives, but to our communities as well.
I am a story-teller and an explorer, a photographer, writer and educator who loves to chase the light. I started out as a photojournalist and street photographer, and these roots continue to guide my visual art practice. But in the diversity and scope of this exhibition comes an underlying unity, of culture, of the land, of the inherent warmth of humanity. These are my stories, just a few of the many paths taken.
